Sea Coach Express

Challenge

Seacoach pioneered the development of modern water transport in Sierra Leone, where it was established in 2009. As Seaccoach expanded its activities to Nigeria and Guinea, the need for more passenger boats arose.
The increase in population growth drove the adoption of water transportation as an alternative in urban areas, leading to a corresponding increase in the demand for boats, especially in communities around inland waterways. To take advantage of this opportunity, more boats, that were safe to use, comfortable, durable, and affordable were needed. Importing, boats were expensive, so sourcing from local manufacturers became the only sustainable option.

Solutions

Overcoming this challenge gave birth to Sierracraft Limited, and since then, over 80% of the boats used by Seacoach express, is manufactured, and maintained by Sierracraft.
